Do you recommend Earthing for all CCTV cameras and DVR's /NVR's ?

I have seen people installation of CCTV, without grounding which would work for some time (for many months) with no issues.

But after sometime it starting abnormally showing strange complaints.

Most of them gets ok with just Grounding or Earthing.!!

What could be the reason of this type of eventually appearing complaints??

  • How do you know it was a ground issue that caused the problem?

    In probably most deployments, it's completely normal not to ground them, or (with old analogue cameras) not to run a separate ground wire. My outdoor ungrounded camera ran fine for about 10 years, until it was removed due to modern ones having better resolution. My two new cameras are completely ungrounded too. Most store cameras are ungrounded too. And modern PoE cameras are completely isolated.
