I am manufacturing a hydraulic circuit that extends and retracts a hydraulic cylinder continuously. I want to add a digital counter which will count up to 1000. The hydraulic cylinder is operated by a 24v dc solenoid valve which I assume can be used to signal the counter. as I have little knowledge of electronics , can someone please recommend a suitable counter and explain how to connect same please.
