Hi I’m a new member I am trying to identify 2 resistors on a pub. Can anyone help please. The one that’s in half and the larger one that the bands are off

    My guess would be:

Larger one that the bands are off (left picture): yellow orange black (from right to left), missing tolerance band => 43 Ohm

The one that is in half: (might be measurable with DMM): orange orange red brown (left to right) => 3.3 KOhm 1%.

Both values exist in the E24 series.

No guarantee on correctness and it might help to reverse engineer the circuit around those parts to reason that those values might makes sense at all.

And we really need to know what happened to this board. There must be an interesting story behind it.

The board in question is from a dometic AES 3way refrigerator in a motorhome in there wisdom they were made by a company in Canada put into a small box and then filled with a potting compound I have managed to remove most of it s bit at s time over a period of time when I have s few minutes story is it works on gas and on the 12volts system

but when you plug in the 230v it heats the element then when it goes through it your check automatically it then does not switch the 230v back on and there was 2 scorch marks on the potting compound at these 2points. image
