Multicomp Pro MP750289 Signal Generator Waveform CD's USB driver

The Multicomp Pro MP750289 Signal Generator Waveform CD's USB driver installation instructions do not work.

I thought i found the USB files that were misidentified as "Program Files (x86)\DSO\USB_DRV\win10_win8_win7_vista" in "\Program Files (x86)\DS_Wave\Waveform Editor\USBDRV\win10_win8_win7_vista", but they aren't working, even after trying "install.bat", "reinstall.bat." or directly entering the instructions in the readme files.

Searches have been ineffective.

The Zadig utility may help to get a good driver installed. If the device is expecting a serial or winusb driver, Zadig usually gets the job done.

I have an MP720016 and I didn't have any issues getting it to work with USB. It is also powered by the USB connection.

FWIW, I tried getting them to work about a year ago. But I never got the USB drivers to work either. I remember getting them installed, but neither my computer nor the AWG ever acknowledged the connection. At the time, I decided it must be a faulty USB interface.

I ended up using LAN instead.

I just ordered the Multicomp USB oscilloscope as the prize for project 14. But now I'm scared if it will be detected in my PC or not.

The LAN version is working?  I will need to get another drop or a hub (and register it), but i didn't want to do it before i tested the interface with USB.  They charge us to install either.

I don't know what your situation is, but even a USB-to-Ethernet adapter with a cross-over cable works fine.

Just to be clear, you'll still be interfacing over Ethernet, not USB. You'll need to setup a private network between your computer and AWG. e.g., give the Ethernet-to-USB adapter an IP like 10.0.0.1 and the AWG an IP like 10.0.0.2.

Then through VISA (or whatever) you'll connect to the AWG as TCPIP::10.0.0.2, instead of USB.

It appears to be the wrong drivers. I have the same problem and Windows indicates the drivers supplied are not for this device. Perhaps the Multicomp rebranding exercise missed something. Quite disappointing since there doesn't seem to be much recourse for support of Muticomp.

In my case, I do not believe it was a driver issue. Ultimately, I realized neither Windows nor Linux would attempt to enumerate the device when attached.
