Hi,
This is a community forum, not a store, but in most (all?) stores they are unavailable:
If it's just a single one you want, then you might want to check ebay etc., and also maybe be flexible in the version, since the 4B could be expensive. In some ways, the Pi 3B+ is better if you don't need the difference in throughput.
That’s a great tool for (help) finding Raspberry Pi boards.
Does anyone know if there are good alternates for Raspberry Pi3/Pi4?
There was a thread here: "is it time to abandon the Pi". I can't find it back, but comments were mainly alternatives, and why they are(n't) good.
(edit: found it: Is it time to end our love affair with R-PI?)
Thanks. Going to read this now.
I picked up two Libre Computer boards to play around with them. The Le Potato and the Renegade. They were $35 and $55 each. The datasheet specs seem on par with the Pi 4, but I haven't extensively tested them.
LIbre has images of Raspbian available for both, which is interesting. I installed it on the Le Potato. However, I could not get a Desktop/Xwindows working. The GPIOs are different and there is no WiFi or Bluetooth.
In terms of form factor, price, and ability to run Linux, they are fine computers for about $50. Also, they are actually available. ;)
Thanks. I think I will buy 'Le Potato' because I've already fallen in love with the name. LOL
It's also pretty easy on the bank account, so yeah, maybe I can treat myself this Christmas.
