Need help sourcing replacement navigation switch

cstanton

Can you find this 4 position miniature navigation switch from a Sony FS5 grip,  It has three contacts this side and three on the back, and four ground plane points on the other adjacent sides.

This's all the information I have from a friend who needs a drop-in like for like replacement.

Might be hard finding an exact replacement! On aliexpress there are quite a few with three pins on each side so they might be compatible but no idea if the peg at the top would fit or could be modified slightly to make it fit.

Example below where if it were the same size then it could be possible to solder and then epoxy glue it to secure it perhaps!

We really need measurements, close-ups of the metal in case there are manufacturers logos stamped into it. Dimensions of the stem size and shape often help, as does more clarity regarding footprint (i.e. are any through-holes, or all SMD, shape of leads).

    Closest I came is this:

Maybe a variant from the company. But hard to tell.

There's a few sellers if one Googles the Sony part number A-2076-368-A it seems ...

I thought I could make out an A stamped into the switch which made me think of ALPS Alpine but nothing in their catalog seems a perfect match ...

I considered that there may be a similar enough part though I'm not sure they'd be comfortable enough with the level of hackery required.

And it shows it to me in Spanish... despite having the operating system and browser configured to display everything in English. They must be based on the source IP to change the language.
