Depends on your application - I would personally recommend the use of Wi-Fi but in a mesh AP configuration to cover the area of interest if the terrain is difficult. If there is good line of sight, then…

You could use LoRa if you don't need to send a lot of data.

Yes good option. There is LoRa 2.4GHz, which could work well here although bandwidth might still be an issue.
