Molex Connector 74060-1009 and 74060-2509 Mating PN and Footprint

Hello,

I would like to know what PN corresponds to the mating connectors for the two connectors: 74060-1009 and 74060-2509. In addition to these mating connectors’ part numbers I would like to know if you also have access to their footprint and symbol drawings? Thank you for your time.

Best,

Andre

These mate with Molex VHFM daughter cards - 74040.  This is specified in the datasheets.  As for footprints and symbols, you would need to check your CAD package to see if they are included and if not, perhaps search?  Alternatively, create them yourself from the drawings on the Molex site for the specific part.

    Did you actually mean 74060 - 9001?

Thank you. It seems the 74040-1343 can mate with the 74060-2509 connector, however I can't find any information on a 74040 that will mate with the 74060-1009 connector. And yes it is -1009 not -9001. Thank you.

    I couldn’t find the -1009 but I didn’t look very hard tbh.

But in terms of ordering the connectors to put on the PCB that I am designing, I need to know what connector can actually mate with the 74060-1009 connector. I assume there must be some connector if the 74060-1009 connector exists (as the existence of a connector implies the existence of its mate).

You’ll have to ask Molex if the datasheet doesn’t have the information.  The part is “new business not supported” so I’m going to make a guess that it will be difficult to source before too long. Alternatively, you could see if there is a suitable part in the 74040 line by comparing  datasheets.

Hello, Molex does not have 80 circuit version of VHDM headers and daughtercards anymore so I would not recommend to use 740601009 on a new design. 740401343 is the mating daughtercard for header 740602509. I hope it helps.
