I want to test reliability of power supply for microcontroller ?

I want to test reliability of power supply noise for a microcontroller. I would like to know, How to do it ?. how will the microcontroller malfunction due to noise in power supply. What are the symptoms to notice. Is there a test that can allow me to detect such faults before even starting the microcontroller.

    Hi Manoj,

    Did you confirm that your board is malfunctioning due to power supply noise??? If so how did you confirm it? What kind of power supply are you using ?
    Is it Linear or DCDC converters like buck converter or an SMPS ?
    What is the power requirements for your board? Is you power supply rated to handle that current requirement?
    Why I am asking all these questions is because what you are experiencing is probably due to something other that the noise as well.

    Noise on a DC power line is voltage variations ( You circuit works at 3.3v but the power line has 5 or 6 Volts peaks. You can easily identify them using an oscilloscope ).
    The real challenge is to identify what is causing it.
