     anniel747 Cool Instructable!  Thanks for sharing.  That's just wild.

    When I first looked into this, I thought it was two meter leads with copper tape in a glass baking dish. Joy

    Trying to be helpful - but since you won't give us any context for your question it is very hard.

    This is how they do it in the real world:

    You can learn a lot by reading about this system.

    If you want to use electrophoresis for doing real work there is far more to it than just the electronics - the cell design and chemicals are important and far harder to DIY than the electronics.

    michaelkellett Schools also do this in science class with much lower tech equipment.  One of them daisy chains 5 9v batteries in series for it's power source.  You are correct that context would help.
