I have begun my ebike conversion and i have figured out all the electronics now for very cheap and most of the mechanical design is down there is just one thing now that is a real trouble, I am using the motor from a electric drill which has an M6 outer thread and a reversed M5 inner threading I am really struggling to find out how to connect a simple single speed sprocket to a threaded screw or really any part of the motor , any help would be greatly appreciated 
no i don't unfortunately i am slowly gathering tools as i do more and more projects but a lathe is a little much for me right now 
I am very tempted for that I am thinking of using that motor in my next build definitely but i want a down and dirty approach for now 
so might use some large washers and a normal sprocket and use liquid weld on the two washers and sprocket then liquid weld that to the shaft.
