Hello,
I am just wondering why the TC54VC3002EZB is told as obsolete on most re-seller websites (like Farnell) while Microchip don't?
Thank you !

Microchip does say it is obsolete and here is why: Product Change Notification - JAON-20VKZH659 - 23 Mar 2016 - End of Life (EOL) of MCP1701A and TC54 device families avai…
But here : microchipdirect.com/ProductDetails.aspx?Category=TC54
You can see the remaining stock and that there is going to be more the 04-May-2017 ? Why there is only this note ? (The TC54VC3002EZB (the VC version) is available with 1875 in stock. The VC version is not available until May.)
Response from Microchip : "I've received information that this particular package option (TO-92) is EOL'd and you can only buy the qty shown on Microchip Direct. Sometimes there may be a chance to get more qty but it is not guaranteed at all, so I wouldn't count on it."
