The Logitech Harmony 600 universal remote I've got has been in use for over 8 years.. over the past few years more of the buttons have stopped working or are on their way out & I was considering replacing it. However, after one of my kids pranked us with an identical dead 600 he found in a drawer, it got me thinking. That one was faulty, draining the batteries in days; Logitech sent a replacement & didn't want that one back. I could crack it open and switch over the keyboard membrane, and give the thing a good clean.
Here's how I got on.. and how to get into the remote (sneaky hidden screws)!
This method could be used with a whole host of remotes.. especially useful if you can cheaply source a faulty one off a site like eBay.
