It's art, it's packed with electronics, it's cool. If I only had more time...
There's no denying Jon Favreau created one of the best Star Wars TV shows with The Mandalorian, which follows the renowned bounty hunter Din Djarin's exploits and his efforts to reunite Grogu with his species. Single spoiler ahead- During the bounty hunter's mission, his ship, the Razor Crest, gets destroyed, leaving us wondering what lies ahead. While his CGI ship may be gone, another Razer Crest, a real one, resides in the city of Yakutsk in eastern Siberia.
Ayaal Fedorov designed his Razor Crest using as many details as possible from the show and took just over a year to build. A lot of work went into the life-size model, with reports that one of those involved even sold their cat to help with the funding. With money being tight, Ayaal tapped into his savings and sold his car to finance the project, with Star Wars fans ponying-up the rest. The project is still ongoing, but the ship measures 46-feet long, 33-feet wide, and 13-feet tall in its current form. What's more, it took 30 people to move the ship from the build hanger to a nearby hill, where it took four days to assemble in -300C weather.
