What is your top concern about designing a signal connection?

Signal connections are used in every type of electronic or electrical design. Sensors, actuators, switches, valves and cameras all need signal connections for control and monitoring. As more and more devices are added to the plant floor, secure and reliable connections become extremely important. So, what is your top concern when you are designing the signal connection for a product?

Signal Integrity also includes providing the proper medium and routing path for the signal to remain valid.

Yeah SIGNAL INTEGRITY is number of 12 out of 24.

Signal integrity is now at top with 15 out of 27. I am actually surprised since in the past years (since I joined Element 14 community) I haven't noticed any discussion about signal integrity and power integrity (they are interrelated). I do a lot of work on signal and power integrity and I would be happy to get involved in this topic on Element 14 if there is interest among community members.
