Learnt a little during research. As much as I usually dislike these "advertisements" I did find out about TEs mini i/o connectors which look relevant to a current project, so there's that.

Good quiz, but can be also expanded to include more robotics & IoT applications

Managed 14/20 (70%) on my first attempt. Not bad and managed 100% on my second attempt. I already have a caliper set which has no buttons and no batteries and measures to 0.1 mm accuracy (probably). It's actually classed as a product for measuring your eyebrows - no idea why. I used to have one at work, given to me as a free gift so on retirement I purchased my own and use it for designing my 3D printed parts. Obviously, if one with batteries and electronics and greater accuracy was offered to me .......

I have that same caliper.  It is inexpensive, and reasonably accurate.  The depth gauge works well for checking for bald tires (or tyres).  It gets a few laughs when I bring it out in professional settings, other people have the fancy electronic ones, and they're probably even calibrated against a NIST standard.

Well I never realised that the end spike could be used as a depth gauge. Thanks for that extra understanding. All I need now are some depths to gauge.

dubbie & mp2100 I have that same caliper as well Thumbsup It's relatively inexpensive and lightweight, so I often use it for my machining projects Slight smile This is despite the fact that I have several other types of vernier calipers as well, including the traditional stainless steel vernier calipers (similar to the Mitutoyo calipers given away in this contest, although mine isn't Mitutoyo Sweat smile), dial calipers & even a digital one [which claims to have a precision of 10μm (akin to my micrometer screw gauge)], but I still use this plastic vernier calipers relatively often (although the depth gauge has a zero-error of +0.5mm, unlike my other calipers) Rofl
