[Help] Replacing an obsolete Relay

Former Member
Former Member over 8 years ago

Hello Everyone,

This is my first time posting. I am looking to replace an old relay that I don't have a datasheet for. The relay is a Matsushita JY1J-DC12V. Other markings on the relay are AJY2315, 10A, 125V AC, 6A250V AC, Japan, and 30615. My understanding is that Matsushita is now Panasonic and I have found a datasheet for Panasonic JY1J relays but none share the exact same part number. http://www.panasonic-electric-works.com/catalogues/downloads/relays/en_ds_61154_0000.pdf Can anyone help me identify a relay that I can use to replace this old relay? I'm not sure if this is in the right sub-forum but the relay is being used in a medical device so I figured I would post here.

Thanks for your help!

    Metro..

This looks like it might be a good option: PANASONIC EW - JQ1P-12V-FTPANASONIC EW - JQ1P-12V-FT

Which has the specs of the DC12V from the datasheet.

    Good luck...

    C

Thanks for the responses! Unfortunately Cabe, that part number doesn't have the same pin configuration as the one I am replacing and so it won't fit on my board.

Fidel, since that link doesn't have the datasheet for the part I am concerned that will not be compatible. It looks like there are many parts made by Panasonic with the same base part number but different sub-part numbers. For example is the relay in that link a form A or form C relay?
