I am seeking your feedback to determine how relevant the information provided on the following page is for an engineer.

  • I don't know any engineers that are building their own motor drives from scratch.  I have purchased 8 in the past few years, 6 from Copley controls, and 2 from Kollmorgen.  I certainly wouldn't want to try and design one from scratch.

  • This info is not currently very relevant to my engineering work, but I strive to stay abreast of what technology is available and what its capabilities are, even if I don't have an immediate need. This attitude has paid off innumerable times. The info here is presented in a pretty good format with nice summaries in the Featured Products panels, although I would prefer that the Featured Products also have a direct link to their data sheet as I would typically go there before going to a shopping page, especially for products of this complexity. If there is a product selector guide available, that is also a useful link.

    The links to shopping pages are definitely good as those types of links are often more obscure on manufacturer's sites.
