How can i calculate pulse lenght for microcontroller driven srm motor?

I would like to drive a switched reluctance motor using a microcontroller.

Having 3 coils and a "+" shaped rotor, i would like to ask how can i calculate on and off time for speeds like 900rpm, 1200rpm, 1800 rpm, etc etc, so i can include the proper values in

the code for the microcontroller. I plan to use this set up on several experiments, that's the reason i need to code proper speeds.
