Aluminium Body for use with a Non-lubricated Air Supply
Why use an Air Motor?
The main reasons are usualy when other sources of a driving force are either not available or not suitable.
Hazardous areas, remote locations, wet or waterlogged conditions are some of the many and varied circumstances that suit the characteristics of Air Motors. ATEX controlled areas are also a typical locations that suits the Air Motor because of the lack of sparks for this form of drive.
Harsh duty cycles also suit the technology of Air Motors in that an electrically powered motor will overheat or even burn out when powered and braked to a stall. An air motor on the other hand will just stop and then continue when the break load is removed.
Air Motors do not emit any EMI and can also be used while submerged.
Instant Stop-Start
Dynatork motors can stop-start and drive under load with characteristics similar to a Stepping Motor.
Low Air Consumption
Air consumption of a piston motor is positive as leakage is negligible giving maximum torque at minimum air consumption.
Max Torque at Start
Free Floating pistons transmit the maximum torque at the start which can be adjusted by the use of a pressure regulator.
Programmed Control
Dynatork air motors can be subject to programmed control by pulse counters to control rotation direction, speed and number of revolutions.
Speed Control
Speed control can be adjusted to fine limits by the use of restrictors on the exhaust ports. The speed can be instantly changed to a higher or lower speed due to fast response times.
Environmental Factor
Dynatork air motors have very low noise levels when compared with standard air motors. They can operate in harsh environmental conditions and are unaffected by airline condenstate.
Reversing
The reversing of the Dynatork Air Motors is achieved by using 5 port control valves, giving near instant response even under load.
Non-Lubricated
These Dynatork Air Motors are supplied for a non-lubricated supply in clean areas so eliminating contamination in a clean environment.
Flexible Mounting
Mounting options are available to provide either Foot Base Plate or Flange mounting for each of the motors
Long Life
The already long life of the Dynatork Air Motors can by extended almost indefinitely by changing the pistons and seals at regular service intervals
