In less than 2 weeks, the Hardware Innovation Workshop with be held at Xerox PARC (what a historic location!):
The day and a half long event has quite an exciting list of speakers:

The downside is that it is almost $800 for a ticket. The price is understandable in the context of a professional conference, but that is a bit pricey for an individual like me who doesn't have a business prospect in hardware. For those that do, I would imagine it will be money well spent.
MAKE: Blog posted a video where Tim O’Reilly and Dale Dougherty discuss the event:
Finally, I really like message at the bottom of workshop's website:
open hardware
+ new fabrication technologies
+ innovative and connected makers
= the maker movement
Anyone planning to attend? I'd love to hear how it goes.
Cheers,
Drew
