ARMRegistered core based solutions from Texas Instruments

In this Virtual Conference Texas Instruments provides overview and outlook about its ARM-based Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and SoCs product range.

Texas Instruments (TI) has more than 18 years experience creating widely adopted ARM products and today offers multiple choices for designers to create different solutions across a variety of markets. For designers looking to create ARM-based products in markets such as industrial, consumer, connected home, video analytics, video communications, medical and avionics, TI offers a broad portfolio of ARM processors spanning from very low-end $1 microcontrollers to very high-performance 1.5-GHz processors. These ARM solutions are optimized for embedded applications, integrating critical peripherals and come complete with a range of development options including low-cost tools and robust software suites.

TI has an optimal solution to meet almost any microcontroller or microprocessor design need whether you need:

  • High-level operating systems (i.e., LinuxTm or AndroidTm)
  • Support for high-throughput networking interfaces (i.e., greater than 1Gbps)
  • Ability to display graphics with high resolution up to 1080p or support a large (more than 5-inch) display

This Virtual Conference features the following program highlights:

  • StellarisRegistered ARM CortexTm-M microcontrollers
  • SitaraTm ARM Cortex-A8 and ARM9Tm microprocessors
  • Concerto C2000’s C28x core + ARMRegistered CortexTm M3 Tm dual-subsystem microcontrollers
  • HerculesTm ARMRegistered CortexTm-based safety MCU
  • Wireless Connectivity for ARM applications
  • Power for ARM
  • New and a diverse SoCs product range and supporting Software

Thanks, ssilberhorn.  Although I expect it to be mostly marketing in disguise, it's always good to expand one's horizons, and TI do some very good stuff.

I don't know if  this conference covers it but I think one of the most intersting things from TI to support their big ARM (A8,A9) processors is the OS free "StarterWare" which might make it possible to get these bigger chips up and running with not much more hassle than the Cortex M3s. (Haven't had time to try yet !)
