Kickstarter Campaign: Nanohive - Personal Server and Personal Cloud

FYI, you might want to take control of your comments section...it looks like it has gotten out of hand, with a bunch of flame wars and lawyer talk, which isn't helping you. In the end, you guys can control the conversation.

You guys have some very passionate backers, and a huge opportunity to turn them into really passionate evangelists which in the end will make or break your company. You want to show them that you are above the drama and truly care about the backers and the product, nothing else. I would also nip that talk about litigation in the bud completely. No one wants to back a Kickstarter or buy a product from a company that will/might sue one of its backers, even if you may be in the right. Making yourselves look cool in the face of adversity is invaluable. Having haters is good cause that means you are doing something right, just don't waste your energy fighting them because it isn't worth your time, and makes you look sorta bad.

I think a simple post like "Relax guys, we are perfectly cool over here and you should be too. No one is getting sued, no harm done. Let's calm down and focus on providing us feedback, we appreciate the support from each and every one of you, and want to hear from everyone. What kinds of uses are you thinking of getting out of your Nanohive? Having your own server does open up a world of possibilities after all!" would direct the conversation in a productive manner. It will put in place the building blocks to build a strong company image and give you control of your comments section again. In fact, as a fellow Kickstarter project veteran who was lucky enough to turn a similar situation around, I'll even back it with $500, and make a post to help you regain control if you want to give my suggestion a try, I can tell you from my own experience it will help a lot.

Unfortunately our comments sections began getting out of control towards the beginning of the campaign. It was started seemingly by members of a competing product (although there is no way to be certain) Since then there have been a few people commenting that seem like they are only there to troll us.

We are currently preparing a video that demonstrates many of Nanohive capabilities on the web. The UI is not finished (and is in part why we are seeking funding) but the video will show how exactly the products works. We are hoping that this will re-assure many of our backers and quiet the storm in the comments section.

We have made some attempts like the phrase you suggested to speak out to the community but it seems there are a few people commenting that continue to troll us no matter what we say.

I have sent your suggestion to the rest of the team, we would love to have your support and would certainly appreciate a constructive post in our comment section. I will let you know how the team responds to what you have said. I think your suggestion is great.
