I read about the tantalum and the impact this material have in some parts of the world. And how it is recommended to move away from using tantalum capacitors for our designs.
I wanted to ask the community what are you using in your designs?
What surface mount are you using for those 10uF and 100uF capacitors on the power lines (or regulators)?
Specially on surface mount capacitors. Aluminium capacitors may not look so good on a wearable device.
So what are you guys using for 0603 and 0805 package size?
Please leave part numbers and approximate prices and availability for the parts. Some parts are really attractive in price but are hard to find in small quantities.
I am starting on using smd components and got a few tantalum capacitors then came across the issue so I want to move away from them before getting more boards made.
Here is a link with information about the issue of the tantalum capacitors, it link to some alternatives but they seem to be from one manufacturer only.
