What device should I use?

Former Member
Former Member over 10 years ago

Hey everyone! I'm new at that page and here is my first question: I'd like to know about some devices I could use to take photos and save them in a microSD. So, I would need: 1) A device (like Arduino or Raspberry Pi), 2) a camera compatible with this device. I would like to conect the device with the caemera directly (space where i want to install the staff, I want to make a small and thin camera). For this reason I think arduino doesn't work, but I'm so noob! About Raspberry Pi, I think it could work out but I'm looking for thiner options! Thank you community!

It all depends upon what you want to do.

Do you need high resolution, fast frame rate, IR or other filters, size, battery needs, mobility, and so forth.

A simple system would be a RPI with attached camera.  You can by the kit for a reasonable fee and get to taking pictures very quickly.

Hi Otter, this is a duplicate thread and @DAB and others will repeat content (and repeat their and others effort). For this reason, it is inadvisable to open multiple threads for the same question.

A RPI and camera module can fit into a slimmer case than an Arduino with a cape attached.

What size are you looking for?
