I would like to know if you can use an adapter to change a monitor from a VGA to USB.

I would like to know if you can use an adapter to change a monitor from a VGA to USB. I bought a flat screen monitor for a desktop computer and would like to use it on a laptop or another computer for plug n play. I was told that  Newark part # 94T5956 (USB to VGA adaptor); might work but I don't want to do anything harmful for either. Can you help me?@

I hope I'm not misunderstanding your question, but that's what the adapter is designed to do. Did you check out the spec sheet for the part? Since it's designed to let you connect a VGA monitor via USB, it certainly won't cause any harm to the monitor or computer. You may be able to find similar adapters at maybe better prices now that you know what to look for. Good luck with your project!
