Re: Dedicated Cryptocurrency Mining..

Hi everyone... First time posting here.

There's a idea that i've been toying with, but as with most things i have in mind.. I dont have the skills to attempt a Prototype!

I am aware, that in the past.. people have used various PCB's in PC Towers, and altered the software related to it to either boost it's performance or change it's function.

What i'd like to do, is to create a Dedicated Mining card & Create software that can select which script to use per card and what currency to mine for. Also have the Ability to Select how much power to dedicate per card.

Obviously this would appeal more to those in Solo Mining rather than Professional / Group Mining. But it is my Opinion that areas such as this is a Untapped market and one in which would be more stable in Creating a Business Income.

If anyone is interested out there in helping... It would be Much appreciated.. Many thanks in Advance.

As I understand it is still profitable, even in Europe, but requires the high end cards and targeting a crypto currency other than Bitcoin. Source: a friend of a friend, no URL or other reference unfortunately…

Mining is now so trendy, but i think you need to have very low costs of energy to get smth really profitable

    Hello,

I am afraid there is a solution already: https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/06/27/nvidia-to-launch-graphics-cards-specifically-designed-for-digital-currency-mining.ht…

Make sure you can answer the issues mentioned there before trying to manufacture a new product.

Ty David, i am aware of those already.

What i meant was more like the Replacement Hashcards you can get for Antminers..  the S2's got 100Gh/s each and were Plug n play direct into a Motherboard of any kind.

the s7/s9's can get 1.5Th/s each... my though was to use or create something similar

But as i said... i have no experience in creating schematics for this or programming.

Indeed, nowadays mining Bitcoins is not really profitable, unless you are part of a strong mining pool. shabaz, your friend is right, there is still profitability in mining the so called AltCoins (alternative cryptocurrencies), but there are so many of them around that choosing the right one to invest on is a bit of a gamble. Afterall, you need to have some skin in the game if you want to be rich image
