I am looking for a cross reference for a 10 K ohm Pot

Question

The part is marked with the following on the back "106-10124MT 10K 0041" and on the side "213-50701-01 ECL A" and below that "W/O47446 0130".

I am looking for a replacement but i am having trouble finding a cross reference.

Any suggestions?

Hi Robert,

You may have to find a substitute as most of the controls used on equipment are only available from the Original Equipment Manufacturer if you want an exact replacement. You will need to determine if the control is linear or has an Audio or Exponential taper. Turn the control to the half way point and measure the resistance from the center to one of the side contacts. If it is about 5K then chances are that it is a Linear taper. Beyond getting the correct taper all the 10K pots will substitute for one another. I have in the past bought them with long shafts and used the drehmel to cut them to the needed size and shape. I looked through my grave yard but did not see one in the 10K range similar to the one you pictured. Here is one from NTE Electronics:
