Help needed in identifying a mystery component

Hi

I'm hoping someone out there can help me identify the part below that is circuled in red... Does anyone know what this and where it can be purchased from?

I don`t know for certain, but it`s possible that they could be array capacitors, I initially thought opto-isolators and can`t rule that out completely, but based on their position in the board, I know capacitors are often used around board-board interfaces.

wait for some other replies though, and perhaps give us a little more detail about the board if you can.

also Jeri Ellsworth (also a member on here) has helped me in the past with SMT/SMD board markings, so she`ll very likely know what FCC means, even without looking at the picture! image

    all the best! image

Thank you. what details would you need to know about the board?

One of engineers did think it was a Coli/Inductor of some sort

for info I would like to know what the board on the top (at the top of the pic) interfaced to, in fact what that part of the circuit was for?

and although most inductors are marked as `L` normally, it was an SMT part "FB" that Jeri helped me with IDing and that also turned out to be an inductor! image

(yeah I know, kind of ironic), so he/she could well be right!

but very often, if a close-up shot is Too close, and without any other frame of reference, it Can be very hard to know what some of these parts are.

can you test them perhaps in circuit? I Know that can be hard with all the Other parts playing their part in the reading too, but you Can get some sort of idea as to their behaviour from this, esp if you unplug that board behind it that looks socketed anyway.

I look forwards with interest to the answer to this also, I`v been where you are, and it drove me nuts! image

Ok our engineer has removed one from the board and  it contains a coil. But we have never seen one like this... Where would we purchase one from?

here might be a good place to start: http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/search/results.jsp?N=2031+203354&Ntk=gensearch&Ntt=inductor&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&displaytext=&isGoback=false&isRedirect=false

and some of these parts look just like the ones in your picture, although, it would prabably be a good idea to establish it`s value first to narrow your search image

    Hi,

I guess, I'm a little late. But I think it could be some sort of common mode filter. Try looking at this type:http://uk.farnell.com/wurth-elektronik/744212510/line-filter-common-mode-2x51uh/dp/1848219RL

http://uk.farnell.com/wurth-elektronik/744212510/line-filter-common-mode-2x51uh/dp/1848219RLIn my opinion this should be some kind of these filters.
