Chokes developed for solar power inverters have exceptionally compact dimensions and operate quietly, which allows their use in residential areas.
To meet increasingly demanding requirements from solar technology, SMP has developed a new range of high-performance chokes for solar power inverters.
The chokes have exceptionally compact dimensions and operate quietly, which allows their use in residential areas.
Developed by SMP especially for solar power applications, the materials used have low magnetostriction and exceptionally low eddy current and hysteresis losses.
This means that the inverters in which they are used are highly efficient, so that a larger proportion of the generated power can be fed back into the grid, resulting in a faster return of investments.
For use in power generation, power electronics, drives, and instrumentation and control, SMP supplies chokes and filters for frequencies up to 200kHz and current ratings up to 1000A, with component sizes ranging from 36 to 300mm diameter and weights from 50g to 130kg.
All components are manufactured to customer specifications using in-house developed powder composites.
To allow for a wide range of requirements, components can be made to all common standards, including protection type IP20 and IP65.
All SMP products are RoHS- and WEEE-conformant and the materials used are UL-listed.
