The most common terminal style of 3-phase filters are block terminals. That's because the method is simple, quick and safe in the meaning of providing a touch proof connection.
However, there are some applications where you want to rely on a connection of a crimped ring lug screwed to a threaded stud.
Both crimping and fastening a nut on a stud with a torque wrench gives you the best control over an electrical connection.
Especially in applications of high safety requirements like in trains, aviation and military this connection is still the prefered method.
The TE Connectivity BCF filter series provides now both possibilities: Style 6 (BCF6) with studs and style 10 (BCF10) with block terminals.
