Tenma Digitial control DC power supply: fan replacment

Hi

 

I have an DC power supply from Tenma, number 72-1050072-10500. Its fan has been having some problems and it is making a lot of noice. I thinking on trying to replace it.

 

Do any one knowa what kind of fan it is? And where can i find it. How does the cost compare to buy a new unit?

    Why don't you open it up and take a look. Fans are usually easy to identify and replace, and often quite cheap. If you can't identify it then take some pictures and post them here. MK

    Power supply fans have standard, square frame sizes. Just measure the width of the existing fan to get that in either inches of mm. Next, there is airflow. Simply read the fan manufacturer's name and full P/N, enter it in Google with the word "specs" added, and read the airflow in CFM or current in milliamps. Next, find an in-stock fan with as close as possbile specs to the one in your power supply and buy it.
