Hi,
The conversion step from AC mains to a DC-bus voltage is traditional done with a Graetz circuit. This circuit is very lossy for high power applications and/or low mains because the input current has to pass 2 diodes at any given time. Ploss is about 2 x Vf x Iin. Are there any reliable circuits known to lower these losses?
