高精度LDO为低噪声应用提高效率与准确度(电源网)

设计高精度设备的客户特别需要清洁的双极电源轨为运算放大器、模数转换器或数模转换器供电。根据客户需求,日前,德州仪器(TI)推出了业界首款-3.0V~-36V低压降稳压器(LDO)。该TPS7A30与TI早先推出的正电压TPS7A49配合使用,可为设计人员提供支持高精度模拟应用供电的总体解决方案。

 

  TI电源业务拓展工程师王轶介绍说,以往系统设备在实现小型化要求之前,客户在做高压往低压转换的时候,一般要么再加一颗DC/DC,要么加一些稳压器件在里面,这样面积比较大,体积比较大,系统也比较复杂一点。TI这款负压LDO可以做到-36V,可以直接从高压往低压转,整个架构也会比较简单,性能也会比较稳定一些。与此同时,TPS7A30可生成200mA电流,而TPS7A49则可生成150mA电流。TPS7A30与TPS7A49可为高精度模拟LDO供电,不但有助于满足宽泛输入电压与最低噪声要求,而且还可为应对瞬态预留最多的空间。

 

  王轶说,TPS7A30与TPS7A49的主要特性与优势还体现在四个方面:一是,支持高线路电压瞬态高稳健容差的宽泛输入电压范围:TPS7A30为-3.0V??-36V,TPS7A49为+3.0V??+36V;二是在全负载、全输入电压,常温条件下的标称精度为1.5%,可为VCO、PLL以及ADC实现更高的精度;三是与大于2??F的陶瓷输出电容器配合使用的高稳定性可实现比钽电容更小的尺寸与更低的成本。以前的LDO,采用的老技术会用到钽电容,而钽电容本身性能不稳定,特别是随温度变化,电容特性受飘移影响变化非常大,而且钽电容在高温下容易起泡,价格也比较高,不像陶瓷电容性能稳定,价格也比较便宜;四是具有低噪声/高PSRR能力,可显著改进RF应用、滤波器以及DC/DC毛刺处理的有效范围。能充分满足低噪声应用的需求,输出噪声低至16??Vrms。在1kHz时,PSRR为72dB;10kHz??700kHz时,PSRR为55dB。

 

  这些支持高精度模拟供电的LDO结合数款最新电源管理器件,可充分满足工业、测试设备、网络及电信设备,基站、微波与无线链路、接收、发射及功率放大器的噪声过滤,以及医疗应用等。
