Can anyone help me with a reference design for designing a 125V, 50A power supply?

    Hi!

    127Vcc x 50A is a huge SMPS.

Give us more data about this SMPS. Wich is the input Vcc? Do you need this SMPS for?

The input VCC is from the wall, so input is 125V, 15A AC from the wall. and I want to convert that to 125V, 50A, I understand, it is against the wattage equation P=VI, but if there is a way to just amplify the current!!!!

    Or any other way!!!!!

I want to connect this power supply to a power strip which would power up 20 devices, each drawing around 2.1Amps of current in charge mode.

Is there a way to play with the Power Factor of the SMPS? and get 6250Watts instead of  1875Watts from the wall outlet?

    Hi Intel 18!

There isn't any way for you do it. It's impossible, because you can't create energy. You can't transform 125Vca x 15A to 125 Vcc x 50A.

    Bye!

    Intel,

Another option that you could try is to request a different power service in your house, such as 2-phase or just a large amperage. With 2-phase (220V), you get the complete AC sine wave, and 30A.

If you are charging a device, I am assuming the devices are DC? if you bypass the "trickle charging" circuit for each device and use a quick charging scheme, you may save some power. What type of batteries are in these devices?

It sounds like the power requirements you need matches that of charging electric cars. Look into what they are using, you may be able to adapt it to your needs. Start here.
