Fairchild Semiconductor Power Seminar Tour

awinning
awinning over 14 years ago

Fairchild are running a series of Power seminars throughout Europe this year You can check the dates and locations here. I'm assured by Fairchild that the seminars will focus on technology and problems and not be a product push, so it could be worth checking out. I'll try get along to the Birmingham event, so anyone wants to say hi can look me out there

Hi Alistair, Wayne from FSC here. Thanks for mentioning the seminar tour and great to hear you'll be aiming to make the trip south for the UK event in Birmingham.  In past years the Fairchild Power Seminars have been very well recieved by many expert power supply design engineers across Europe.  There is always something new to learn and with power efficiency becoming an ever more important design facet for nearly every new project it certainly doesnt hurt to refresh the knowledge base and get access to some new ideas from one of the leading companies in the field.

Just in case anybody missed the link, the dates, locations and the agenda along with enrollment link can be found here http://www.fairchildsemi.com/powerseminar/index.html

    Hi Alistair,

Thanks for letting us know. I have attended several Power Seminars from Fairchild Semiconductor in the past. There are a lot of interesting topics on the agenda, so I plan to attend this year as well.

Its a busy schedule for Fairchild with 14 seminars in 11 countries over the next 3 months. These events are very popular and well worthwhile attending so I'd encourage people to register sooner rather than later ! See you there !

    Hi all,

I can confirm from the last round of these seminars that they are deeply technical oriented and not product focused. There is also the chance to get into discussion with the presenters in the breaks. I will definitly join again.

Last round I've received a lot of positive feedback from customers and the agenda of the next tour is even better. The presenters are available during the breakes and the local Fairchild emploees can of course follow up if needed. this will be the 3rd time I'm gonna attend this trade show and due to the good quality level of the passed 2 edition my expectation it's really high.

    Hi Ally

I can see that a lot of people have viewed the thread here so thought it wise to highlight to the community that some of the locations are getting close to the attendance limits.
We plan to get larger rooms for the Birmingham and Barcelona events with the former already over subscribed and the latter very close to
the original limit.  We have over two months before the UK event and a month until Spain so anyone wishing to attend, please register sooner rather than later if possible to help us gauge how much we need to increase capacity at each location.
Krakow is filling up quickly so I would suggest anyone interested in attending this event or those in Vienna and Brno signs up soon as we always see a steep ramp in registrations within the last 7 days or so. Thanks Wayne FSC

    Hi Ally

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have now changed the venue for the Birmingham event.  We hadn't anticipated the level of interest we have seen this year and have been forced to find a larger location.

The new venue is shown below but we will be updating everyone, who has already registered for the event, via email.

Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC, Pendigo Way, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, B40 1PS. United Kingdom www.birminghamnec.crowneplaza.com

Again, can I suggest that anyone wishing to attend any of the remaining European Power Seminars registers as soon as possible.  We have catered for an extra 50 attendees for the UK but already over 30 of these additional places have been taken.  The other locations are also getting close to full and we might not be able to increase the number of available places so please sign up soon.  Thanks Wayne FSC

Hi, I work for Fairchild, we were running seminars in Krakow and Brno, and all I want to say here is that the feedback from customer was purely positive. The only problem was that number of attendees in Brno far exceeded our expectations, so we had to cancel several people in the last few days as capacity of the room was already exceeded, over 120%.

    Thanks, Maros

    Hi All

Thanks to everyone that has registered for the UK Power Seminar. We have been forced to stop taking registrations for this event as we are now over-subscribed with over 100 attendees.

    Of the remaining events

Milano (May 10)  Padova (May 11)  Registration closed

Birmingham (May 24)                    Full. Sorry to those who would like to have attended.  We will be posting the documentation after the tour is completed.

Copenhagen (May 25)                   Still some places available. Please enrol as soon as possible.

Helsinki (May 26) Istanbul (June 2) Both events are well subscribed (above our initial expectations) but we are accepting registrations "at the present time".

Again thanks to everyone who has attended the European events so far.  We would really appreciate any feedback you can offer.

    best regards

    Wayne
