Low voltage cut-off circuit for hub dynamo

I want to design a circuit which receives power from a 6V,3W hub dynamo and boost it before supplying it to a LiPo battery. I want to cut-off the output from the hub till 3.3V and supply the output to the booster only above 3.3V. At present, I have an XL6009 DC-DC converter. I want to know if it's possible to design a standalone circuit or if a specific device is available for this purpose.

    The data sheet for the XL6009 chip is available and states that it needs a minimum input voltage of 5V - so it isn't really suitable for your purpose.

    There are boost converters that will work with lower input voltages.

    The XL6009 and most other such chips has a an enable control which you could drive with  a suitable ciruit to make sure that it only runs when the input voltage is above a threshold,  but you need a different chip for 3V input.

    Are you able to design and make circuit boards or are you looking for a ready made solution ?

    What is the battery voltage and how do you control charging ?
