Hi,
I'm searching for a driver solution for an EL panel with about 46 in2 surface.
These are the main features of the panel:
Operating voltage: 70-115 V AC
Operating frequency: 400-800 Hz
Power usage typical: 5-10mW/cm2
Light intensity (80V 600Hz): 40 cd/m2
Luminosity (80V 600Hz): 100-300 lux
Operating current (80V 600Hz): 0.1mA/cm2
So, with maximum surface of my panel (300 cm2), I will need 3W of maximum power, or 30mA @ 80-100V.
An other important feature I need is to dim the light intensity with a digital control (pwm or variable input voltage or other else).
I've found many integrated controller, also with PWM input, but none of these can handle a panel larger than 36 cm2 (5,6 in2):
MAX14521E (Maxim)
HV859 (Microchip - Supertex) - and similar, same family
MP3802 (Monolithic Power)
Does anyone know an alternative solution, maybe with discrete components (power mosfet, triac)?
