Premier Farnell vs. Electrocomponents - Which is better?

Former Member

Hi everyone,

I am a student at the University of Chicago and I was just trying to do some more due diligence on which site / company was better for your purposes.  I was thinking along the lines of:

1) Product selection

2) Service quality (e.g. delivery time)

3) Price

4) Usability of website

5) Anything else that makes either better or worse?

Also, in general, what do you use the products for? - projects?

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Charles

I have used the element14 store recently for some projects. I found they had the best prices vs. all the other component stores (one enclosure I bought was $20USD cheaper at element14). Shipping was fast for me. The website was easily navigated. What I like is how the store tells you if a part is in stock or not.

I use the parts for prototyping and production. My projects are in the industrial sector, CNC machinery.

    Hope this helps.

If it's a mop or a bucket that you need then Electrocomponents, but if you are a serious electronics student it has to be a Premier Farnell company every time!4442.contentimage_3890.png
