element14 is planning to launch a campaign on Green Technology.in April and running it through the summer.
This would cover both content and hands-on competitions around the topic of renewable energy, sustainability, energy harvesting, upcycling, and the like. It's an often discussed topic and influencing (I think) the engineering world.
As I have been thinking about topics to cover, the topic of hydrogen power technology came to my mind.
Specifically, green hydrogen, which utilizes water electrolysis to produce the hydrogen and renewable power to power the electrolysis process. (Other types of hydrogen production use fossil fuels, thus, are not completely "green.")
For green hydrogen, there are a lot of power electronics used.
Thus, this topic seems like a good match for green technology on the one hand and power electronics on the other.
While this sounds interesting and relevant to me, I wanted to ask the community for their opinion. I've include a block diagram that sort of summarizes what I have stated here in words.
QUESTION: would you be interested in an Essentials or a Webinar of Green Hydrogen and Power Electronics?
