Poll - Do You Design, Maintain or Build PV Systems?

  • Other:  None of the above but work on battery storage systems associated with some PV systems.  Have 2kW of panels that feed a stand alone inverter.

  • I designed and built this small 1.5 kW PV system for work.

    The PV panels are wired in series to feed the 360V DC link of a 230VAC 2HP Fuji variable speed drive. 

    The VFD is configured to control a stand alone off grid solar powered pump with max power point tracking. 

    To avoid pumping water in the lab, the VFD output is connected to 3 centrifugal blower motors and a resistor bank for playing with it in V/f mode. 

    Its meant to be somewhat portable, but it hasn't moved since I put the PV panels there last summer, except when the grass gets cut.

  • Other, I've been involved in looking for offers and selecting the best one for a 100 kW system for work. Now we're thinking in a 700 kW - 1 MW system  for another place at work too.
