Can i connect  different size of M.V cables in parallel to supply the same load ?

  • Given the name, I seriously doubt he is in the US in the first place, so no idea why people are blindly quoting US and EU laws.

     

    Is it not an option to run the extra 100A load off it's own (new) cable, rather than having 3 cables in parallel ?

    With a new breaker fitted to the supply of the new cable as well.

     

    If one cable fails, the other two will overheat and possibly fail in the short term.
