  • Overall a good quiz, however, two of the "correct" answers are incorrect. :(

    I think the author might have mixed up saturation vs. linear regions for MOSFETs with BJTs on a couple of the questions. (For example, when operated as a switch, a MOSFET is operated in its linear region while a BJT is operated in its saturation region...)

    The terms used can certainly be a bit of a mess. I've got a pdf here from Fairchild in 2000 that on one page refers to Cut-off, Ohmic, and Saturation regions, but by the next page there's a graph labelling them as Cut-off, Ohmic, and Active regions. Seeing Triode region for the Ohmic is quite common in older books, too.
