fun quiz. Its interesting to see the growth in renewable technology but is getting adapted very disproportionately in parts of the world.

Very simple Qizz. To some extent the triumphalism towards an all-electric future bothers and disconcerts me. Shouldn't we insist more on reducing energy consumption and changing lifestyles towards more…

I landed at the quiz by clicking the banner on the landing page (as of 2023-10-02). There was no link to anything that would tell me anything about the "All Electric Society." If the plan was to force me to search the Net for info, then it worked. And then I got to the Phoenix Contact questions and it was back to the Net again. Once I went back to answer one question I missed (Doh!!) I got my 100%.

I agree that in the long term using renewable electricity to produce carbon-neutral hydrocarbons is necessary to supply applications where the high energy density is needed (e.g. aviation). In the short term (the next 20-80 years) I believe that this is inappropriate as we need to use all available electrical energy to reduce GHG output as quickly as possible in industrial sectors that are the biggest GHG producers. Carbon-neutral pathways will do nothing to prevent us from boiling ourselves to death -- GHGs in the atmosphere must be reduced.

Scroll down after the questions, there's a resources section with a few links that give you more info, perhaps they added this later.
