Drones continue to grow in popularity. New materials and smaller technologies are making it easier than ever to build your own drone and take aerial videos or photographs with the latest cameras. In fact, the public can now buy drones equipped with cameras out of the box. This has been a popular feature for hobbyist and enthusiasts as of late and has caught the attention of many media outlets.
Media outlets are reporting that drones with cameras can represent an invasion of privacy. Whether this is true or not depends on the user and their intentions while flying drones. Nevertheless, anyone who owns a drone can tell you that they are awesome. Flying them is a great experience and can give you a great view of everything around you, a view only comparable to being in a small airplane. Two drones have just been released, which include algorithms designed to track users and follow them where ever they may go. The AirDog drone and Hexo+ drone are great for anyone trying to film their extreme sporting stunts.
Now Parrot, a company dedicated to creating cheap reliable drones, is getting set to release a new model drone equipped with state- of- the-art features. The Bebop Drone comes with a 14 megapixel fish eye lens that can record video in full HD and stream that video to a mobile device. It also has a unique stabilization system along with rubber shock absorbers to make the video and photographs as still as can be. Images also benefit from a Parrot P7 dual core processor, a GPU, and an image signal processor.

The Parrot Bebop drone uses 4 Wi-Fi antennas to communicate over 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequencies in a multiple input, multiple output format. Users have the choice to control the drone themselves over an iOS or Android mobile device, or use the drone in an autonomous flight mode. My bet is many people will be taking to the skies themselves with full control over their drones. If the mobile device may not suffice for users, Parrot is also going to be offering a Skycontroller. The Skycontroller can extend the drone's range up to 2 kilometers and will feature dual joysticks for more intuitive control. The Skycontroller features an amplified Wi-Fi radio for long distance roaming.
New drones are being developed now faster than ever. Furthermore, each new one now includes better features and lower price tags. As more people get their hands on them the debate will continue to rage on about laws restricting their flight and whether invasion of privacy is applicable. But as we all know, it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone, and my guess is it won't be very long before someone uses their drone for the wrong reasons and we all can't take to the skies.
