, what is a good use of the Parallax Propeller MCU. A swarm of robot farmers has to be one of the best examples of versatility. These robot farmers, names Prospero, would be deployed in large batches into a field. They would then start digging, planting seeds, covering the hole back up, applying fertilizer, other chemicals as needed, and moves on. Based on the idea of GPS precision farming, the bots communicate with each other to coordinate the absolute best yield the area can produce. Upgrades will also be available in the future.
The body was designed by Lynxmotion and the driving software is original. No mention of the solar recharge, but I would assume that to be an option in the future. Currently it is powered by a several batteries.
Enjoy the video’s demonstration of the Prospero farming robot, accompanied by creepy music to get the mood. Great work designer Dave “Vanmunch”. Look into solar power, by the way.
