A new super worm is targeting millions of computers in China that has factory owners concerned. The worm, "Stuxnet," is capable of taking control of equipment and making it malfunction, potentially causing damage to machinery such as motors, valves, security systems and other equipment. It even has the theoretical capability to corrupt the systems of a nuclear power plant, like the suposed Stuxnet attack on Iran’s nuclear program a few weeks ago. The worm was designed to target control systems made by a German company called Siemens, who provide industrial, health care, and energy products to the world. The worm has successfully infected machines in India, Iran, Indonesia, Pakistan and now China. An engineer named Wang from Rising International Software say’s, “Once Stuxnet successfully penetrates factory computers in China, those industries may collapse, which would damage China's national security." The person or persons who created Stuxnet are still unknown at this time, but speculation from Iran say the Pentagon has created Stuxnet as a weapon to attack Iran’s nuclear power efforts. The Pentagon denies any involvement regarding the Stuxnet worm.
