Its always a fun day at the office when your scheduled meeting was cancelled due to your boss being sick at home. Seems like those were the’ good ole days’ that are forever lost only to be found in your ever present day dreams. A new robot developed by Mantaro, cleverly called ‘MantaroBot’, will help your boss attend those meetings to tell you of your contribution to the companies diminishing revenues. The robot uses an HD camera that can pan and tilt 180 degrees, infrared sensors for obstacle detection, and uses Skype to communicate. The robot is controlled wirelessly through a control pad and also ‘on-station’ with a built in netbook on the robot itself. The display lets you see your bosses dissatisfaction with your performance as well as the ‘pink slip’ that’s being written. The monstrosity runs on a 12V - 15Ah rechargeable Lead Acid Battery that stays charged for 6 hours or a better part of the work day.
I just wouldn't want to be in charge of wheeling in the robot boss during meetings. Too weird.
