Robots seem to everything for us these days including cleaning and well……other stuff that doesn’t include cleaning. Now they are even working as tour guides in the Daejon Museum of Art in South Korea. The robot called ‘Docent’ provides information, through the use of speakers, as it moves from one exhibit to another before ending its tour at a large plasma display panel. Given that the robot is intended for children, it has obstacle detection and stands 120cm tall. It has already made the rounds at a number of museums, introducing children to works of art as well as Korea’s robotics technology.
