Which Roomba is best?

Catwell
Catwell over 13 years ago

I have decided to employ robots to do some of the mundane chores around the house. First of which will be a Roomba.

From those who already have one, which one is the most useful?

We have the Roomba 564 Pet Series.  Its nice but in heavy traffic areas it doesnt seem to work as well as our dyson dc41 animal.  If you are just using it for light touch-up then i would say the Roomba would be fine.  Less work you have to do.  lol

    Nate,

So the Roombas are not meant for the actual cleaning of carpets/floors but just touch-ups? Is it even worth having then?

I wouldnt say that its just meant for touch-ups but i just havent had as good of luck with it compared to our larger dyson.  If you didnt have a dog like ours that likes to run in the mud and then track all over the house then it would work for you.  We use ours in rooms that the dog isnt allowed and it works great.  So its one of those things that you have to weigh if its worth getting even though you might still need another device to do the same task.

Thanks for the advice and mini-review.

It is hard to justify dropping the $400 - $600 for the bot. Then again, what is one's time worth?

Not a problem Cabe.  Spending that kinda money keeps you going back to work.  image
